Introducing Poptails by FrutaPop

img_3772FrutaPOP is a small-batch, hand-crafted ice pop company, specializing in natural fruit and juice ice pops, coffee ice pops and alcohol infused ice pops better known as Poptails.

FrutaPOP offers seasonal flavors, making the POP a year-round treat and for the summer their featuring six tantalizing flavors that we are patiently waiting a chance to try, including Coconut Rosé Sangria POPs made with fresh blueberries and strawberries; Watermelon Mint Lemonade POPs made with premium vodka; Sparkling Prosecco POPs in mango mimosa and passion fruit; Tropical POPs in rum punch and pina colada; Red or White Coconut Sangria POPs made with top shelf alcohol, wine produced in New York State and organic fruit; and Passion Fruit Pink Champagne POPs which we can totally see as a champagne toast alternative for our summer brides.

At approximately $60 for a dozen, each pop costs about $10 each once you factor in the $35.00 flat-rate shipping fee.  All of the flavors are 5% alcohol by volume – which means you must be at least 21 years of age to enjoy them – and available in packs of 12, 24 and 48.  It also looks like you can mix and match your order so you can try all of them.

We haven’t yet had a chance to taste test these tasty treats but we’re hoping to do so soon and even have plans for a future event so stay tuned.  In the meantime, stop by FrutaPOP for a full list of their healthy frozen dessert options and to place an order for your upcoming event

Cupcake Bouquets & DIY Tutorial

When I first heard about the cupcake bouquet, I wasn’t too sure what to expect.  But a quick google search led me to this beautiful creation and I’m hooked!  There are endless ideas for this perfect marriage of flowers and cake and who doesn’t love anything that does double duty!

The “florist bakery” featured in the video is Baked Bouquet and they’re located in Verona, NJ. Their creations “offer customers a gift that is new and unique: baked cakes, truffles, ganache, and drizzled chocolate designed and arranged in the form of beautiful flower bouquets…made daily for pick-up and hand delivery”.

I don’t know if anyone is wondering, but I wouldn’t mind getting one of these in the mail tomorrow.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! I’m not a resolution kinda girl.  Yes, I could stand to lose my last 10 pounds and read more books that aren’t just about weddings but I figure, all in due time.  Instead, I choose to reflect on the year prior, listing both the learning lessons and accomplishments, and that is what I try to build on in the new year.   Let’s take a look at some of the highlights from 2012.

IMG-20120228-00329SocialBFly participated in the first bridal showcase hosted by Weddings For Heroes – a NJ charitable organization that provides dream weddings to Combat wounded military personnel, Combat Veterans and active duty military facing hardships at no cost to them. Did I mention this was also our first time participating as a vendor in a bridal showcase?  See more from this experience in SocialBFly About Town: Weddings for Heroes Bridal Showcase.

We were featured and included as a contributing author in the 2012 wedding book: Insiders Know-how: Planning Your Perfect Wedding.  We were honored to be listed among some of our esteemed wedding colleagues including Ariane Fisher of Storymix Media and Desiree Mondesir of Desired Assistance Weddings.  The e-book is currently available on Amazon.  Why not, read an excerpt.

The presidential race wasn’t the only race being run in 2012.  We were fortunate to be included in the Wedding Industry Experts annual Wedding Planner of the Year competition and you voted us #1 in Roselle Park (Union County). I know I’ve said it before but, Thanks guys…you make a girl feel good!

Looking back at our year in numbers – 14 events and special projects were flawlessly executed and 27 new blogs were posted on Behind the Veil, Beyond the Vows – our most popular post of the year was Hostess How-To: Setting The Perfect Table for A Dinner Party. We ended the year with 188 LIKES on our Facebook page, 1458 followers on twitter, and 142 amazing inspiration boards on Pinterest.  Thanks to everyone that makes our social media efforts worthwhile!

Last but not least, 2012 also marked the second straight year that SocialBFly has been Wedding Wire rated!  Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!!

This is where we will build from in the new year.  2013 has an exciting horizon and we promise there is more in store for our readers, partners and clients.  Look out for our new website coming in February as well as our series of NJ and PA wedding workshops, feature guest bloggers, and bridal showcase appearances throughout the tri-state area.  Stay tuned…if you aren’t following us, you really should be.

We’re also happy to welcome new couples N&T, P&R, N&D, and L&B into the SocialBFly family and are looking forward to being a special part of their 2013 nuptials.

Etsy Find: Glass Slippers

Any girl would dream of being Cinderella if the missing shoe was this T.L.C. Creation made from recycled and repurposed materials.

This exciting design has shards of broken glass over the toes and lots of crystals on the heels.  The sides of the shoes are covered with a collage of glass, pearl and Swarovski crystal embellishments.

And just like Cinderella’s shoe was made specifically for her foot, you too can customize your glass slipper with or without the spikes. You also have the option of requesting shorter spikes (1/2 inch spikes instead of one inch long spikes).

They have a 5 1/2 inch stilleto heel and are available in UK size 3-8 which will fit US size 5 -10 or EU 36 -41.
